Meet Our FAMILY

We are the Carpenter family. An ordinary family of four who in an instant became a family of three here on earth.

In 2011, our youngest daughter Skylar, at the age of 15 went home to be with Jesus as a result of a tragic automobile accident while traveling on a school trip. February 17, 2011 was the day Skylar finished her journey here on earth. It was also the day Jesus rescued our family. (2 Samuel 22:17)

Exalt and Praise God's Greatness: (1 Chronicles 29:11-13) "Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours..."

Share God's Love: (John 13:34-35) "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Make Disciples: (Matthew 28:19-20) "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..."

We travel and share our testimony at various venues ... locally, nationally, and internationally. One Day Closer Ministries is an advocate for sharing the message that will change the world. With God's help, we will travel to make disciples of all nations by spreading the good news of our Savior, Jesus Christ. A ministry committed to sharing the powerful message of HOPE through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The ministry shares the transparent journey of the 'Carpenter' family. A family who endured an unthinkable tragedy, yet has also experienced the presence of our very real God in the midst of their tragedy. They want everyone to know that Jesus is our 'helper' now, as well as our 'hope' for eternal life.

This ministry shares the real life legacy that was left when the Carpenter's teenage daughter Skylar, ran into Heaven at the young age of 15 years old. Her message to everyone was: "God has a plan for you and He's gonna use you, I hope God can use me too, I wanna change the world!" Skylar is changing the world, one person at a time.

This is God's ministry and the Carpenter's are committed to sharing the love, grace, TRUTH and HOPE of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The message that not only ensures life for all of eternity, a reminder to all of us that Jesus is our lifeline. He is love. He is the answer to help, hope and healing now, as we 'do life,' together.
